TWO $500 Scholarships
For the Class of 2027
- Honoring Legacy. Investing in Leaders. Building Our Future. A Gift of Passion & Friends, Inc. proudly honors the legacy of Cicero Parks Jr., a Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1965 alumnus and U.S. veteran, through scholarships that recognize the next generation of community leaders. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to: - One City of Atlanta Teen Leader who attends Booker T. Washington High School
- - One Graduating Booker T. Washington High School Senior
- Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must: - Be graduating seniors of Booker T. Washington High School.
- - Plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- - Demonstrate community service or meaningful service to others.
- - Demonstrate leadership, initiative, responsibility, or positive community involvement.
- - Complete the scholarship application and required 1,000 word essay.
- - Provide supporting documentation when requested.
- Essay Requirements
- - Submit an essay of up to 1,000 words responding to the following prompt: Describe how community service and leadership have influenced your life, how you have contributed to your school or community, and how you plan to use your education to make a positive impact.
- Important Dates - Applications Open: February 1, 2027 - Application Deadline: April 30, 2027 - Winners Announced: May 15, 2027 Application Requirements
- - Applicants should submit a completed and signed application, their essay, and any additional supporting documents required for the scholarship cycle. - Community service verification, college acceptance or enrollment documentation, and a recommendation may be requested. Proof of enrollment or other required documentation must be provided before scholarship funds are disbursed.
